To the person asking for advice with the Atomic Turquoise! Thanks everyone :)

wella wellite + 20 vol (x2) —> silver lady toner + 20 vol —> various blues and purple mixed with conditioner

Ah guys, thanks for your help! Here you go Anonymous, some helpful opinions.
1 part Directions Violet to 2 or 3 parts conditioner.
My hair is naturally almost black, so I had to bleach the crap out of it, but if you have black hair, it IS possible! Just be prepared to bleach it more than once- this took three goes, gradually lightening it each time. I used a generic brand of 40% peroxide mixed with powder bleach.
alliebeegood asked: in regard to the koolaid question: you can combine koolaid and conditioner, and it will usually turn out pretty similar to the color of the mixture you make. koolaid does fade super fast, so leaving it in for a long time/heating your hair while it's in is important. and if you have really light or bleached hair it will stay for a while, my hair is a tiny bit green from dying it three months ago. hope that helps!
Thank you!
xoxocommunismgurl asked: In response to the kool-aid question - you can get lavender by mixing grape kool-aid and conditioner, but make sure you have more conditioner than kool-aid to make sure its light enough. Also, it'll probably only last until the next time you shower.
Thanks for the advice!

Re: coconut oil on bleached hair; I don’t think bleach can take very well to your hair if it is saturated in oil. In between/after bleaching, yes, it is a very good idea. I recently went 48 hrs between washing my hair (w/no conditioner or products) and bleaching and there was enough oil on my scalp to keep the bleach from taking like it should have; my roots went from pale orangey yellow to a still lighter warm yellow. I use a 30/40 mix with toner, it should have gotten much lighter. Which sucked, because it still damages my hair/hurts my scalp but with no payoff otherwise.

Coconut oil pre-bleach treatment
To help protect your hair when bleaching, smother it in virgin coconut oil* at least 1 hour prior to bleaching. Hair has to be literally dripping wet with oil as your hair will really soak it up. Wrap hair in cling film to help it soak in and not drip. After an hour bleach as normal, over the oil. The oil will protect your hair from becoming too dried out by the bleach but will also not effect the strength of the bleach.
The coconut oil can also be used as a treatment for dry hair, same technique but leave it on for as many hours as possible, even over night! you will be amazed at how your hair soaks it up.
*Virgin coconut oil is the type most commonly used for cooking with and its cheap!(can be found at Indian food stores) dont waste money getting some that claims to be ‘specifically for hair’ theres no such thing! and it will have perfume and stuff in thats unnecessary.

ccaabb asked: Hey I have brown hair (not too dark) and was just wondering if you know whether directions carnation pink would take? or if you know any others that would work on brown hair? Thankssss x
Hi there. As a general rule, the lighter your hair is, the more the colour will take. If your hair is light brown, the pink SHOULD take, but it may not be as pale as you are hoping for. I suggest doing a strand test somewhere that you can’t see too easily to test how the colour will turn out, and if you don’t think it is effective enough you can consider lightening your hair a few shades where you want the dye to go. I hope that helps!

I hope that helps, villagegreenpreservation :)
Thanks for your advice ladies!

Great help guys, thank you!
cfred, the difference is that demi-permanents last longer than semi-permanents. :)
spasticannie asked: To the person who asked below about the dyes, fudge paintbox colours are awesome. you get them in bright colours but you can buy this other thing they sell called 'a whiter shade of pale' and it turns their dyes into pastel colours.
look it up on google =]
